If you were or are living on the coast line, you are very fortunate its beautiful, relaxing people who stays in the city dreams of staying near or on the coast line. How can any normal human not want to stay near the coast, however are you not worried about the current constant state of rising sea levels all over the world? It can seriously affect the human population, as well as endanger animals big and small. If you were to stay in Venice, Italy for example - a city completely covered all round by water the constant rise is frightening.
According to research Venice is slowly sinking 1 - 2 millimetres a year. As per research once again on more frightening statistics some water levels in areas such as Grand Isle, Louisiana rises with approximately 9.24 millimetres a year, and if you take the size of the ocean, and in this case the Gulf of Mexico 9.24 millimetres is a very high amount of water, and taking this over years and years to come i would say some of the world will be completely covered in water. Considering the amounts of floods all over the world, it is only a matter of time, one would think that people might raise more awareness on this subject, however everyone just passes by without ever really realising any difference, blaming a strong rainfall as the cause for the flood. In reality global warming plays a major part as iced parts of the ocean slowly starts to melt away making the water level rise. With the ice slowly melting away certain animals such as the polar bears, penguins, and many more also become endangered.
Global warming in reality causes floods, below freezing temperature, as well as extremely high temperatures. Funny thing though, the people who expertize in the rising sea levels are worried and concerned, however, ironically enough we as humans are the biggest cause of this, so if islands are to disappear under masses of water and cities are to be flooded, when we finally realise that all of this is our own fault and that we destroyed the earth it would be too late to turn back. Now to get back to the subject rising sea levels is frightening ant the amount it rises with all over the world is really something to be concerned about. I might jump around a bit now between global warming and rising sea levels seeing that global warming has the biggest effect on rising sea levels.According to research there are predictions that the sea level will only rise with 59cms by 2100, however with the constant rise that might not be obvious to the eye of some this makes me strongly doubt that prediction. Small islands such as the Maldives are due to vanish. once again i can not stress enough about the amount of people and animals that will be left homeless. Now some people might be unsure of what is truth and what is not, the reason I'm saying this is there are statistically proven facts that the sea levels are indeed rising, however a Swedish geologist and physicist who has been studying sea levels for 35 years in all known matters, with all known methods confirms that the sea level has not risen in 50 years. According to his findings the sea at Maldives has not risen for half a century. According to some more research there was actually a film made to confirm that we as humans has absolutely nothing to worry about but strangely enough the government refused to let it be shown. Now i cant help but to ask myself the following two questions: 1. Are the sea levels really rising or are people just forced to say it is just to give out some news rather than no news
2. Why would people in general be cruel enough to be lying on a serious matter such as this which makes people all over the world think that there are an catastrophe/apocalypse coming.
